Booking Info for the Cleveland Agora Theatre & Ballroom : The Agora consists of 2 rooms. The ballroom has a capacity of 700, the theatre has a capacity of 2000. We are a concert venue that books national touring bands through their agencies. We are not open every night, only for concerts. Local bands are rarely added to our shows. Theatre shows such as 311, or Puddle Of Mudd would never call for a local opener. Reasons being, they obviously sell out on their own, and it is a national tour, usually made up of 3-4 bands. They have been doing the same production city to city. They do not want to change up their production to accommodate a local support band. . Of course the Agora would love to give a local band a chance to play in front of a large crowd, but adding support is dictated by the tour, the band, the agent, or management. Not the venue. Same goes for the ballroom shows, but in the past we have had more opportunities to add a local to our smaller shows. When this is the case, we choose a band that will promote, sell tickets and is establishing a fan-base around town. We find them through other clubs in town that book a lot of locals, bands that we've saw, or a letter of interest sent to the Agora. It doesn't hurt to ask if a local will be added to a show. We do try to do this as much as possible, but again, it is the tour that will dictate whether or not support is added. Not the venue. Regional or out of state bands are not booked at the Agora. We are just too big and have high expenses. You would have much better luck contacting clubs with a smaller capacity and who are open every night, showcasing these talented bands. As far as adding to an existing show, if we have that opportunity, we do use a local Cleveland band. Press Kits: We know you spend a lot of time and money to put your CDs out and get a kit together, but nobody here has the time to go through the abundance of CDs we receive. Renting: If you want to rent the room, put together any and all details for your event before you contact us. Have in mind a date, the nature of the event, times for doors, show time, down time, How many bands, who's playing, ticket price, expected attendance, etc. Any and all info is helpful. Prices vary for events since all events can be different, and many variables determine costs. If you have questions after reading the information
